Full Pitch Academy

Discipline first. The ball follows.

A youth football and athletics academy in Cairo for ages 6 to 19. Every player follows the same written method, from a first assessment to the Elite Pathway.

The academy crest: a shield marked with a halfway line and a centre circle under one star, drawn in white points on grass.

Four programmes. One method.

Every player moves through the same four stages. The programme changes the drills; the standard stays the same.

Football Pathway

Ages 6 to 19 in three squads by age. Foundation players train twice a week with no matches. Development players have two technical sessions and a Saturday match. Elite Pathway players add a third session and a strength session.

Squads are capped at 14 players, so every player gets the ball often.

How a player moves through the academy.

No player skips a stage, including the ones who join at 15.

  1. Assessment

    Every new player

A 45-minute session with two coaches, filmed and scored against the same checklist every new player gets: first touch, awareness of space and effort when tired. Parents get the scored checklist as well as the coach's verdict.

  2. Foundation

Ages 6 to 9, or a new player's first two terms

Ball mastery and movement. Touches count for more than results, and there are no league tables at this stage.

  3. Development

    Ages 10 to 15

Positions, small-sided match minutes every week, and a first individual plan, reviewed in writing every eight weeks.

  4. Pathway

Ages 16 to 19, by trial

Three technical sessions, one strength session and one match a week, with match analysis the player reviews with a coach.

The numbers we hold ourselves to.

Demo figures for a concept academy, 1 October 2026
  • 14players per squad, at most
  • 45minutes for a first assessment, with two coaches
  • 8weeks between written reviews
  • 6pitches across two campuses

These figures are the concept's working rules. A real academy would publish its own and show how it keeps them.

A rendered, empty football pitch at dusk under four floodlights, with mown stripes and white lines.

Six pitches on two campuses.

Nasr City has four full-size pitches and a 200 m track. New Cairo adds two small-sided pitches and an indoor hall for wet-weather sessions.

The five coaches a player sees every week.

This concept invents no coaches, so they are shown by role. A real academy should name each one and show you the proof listed below.

Head coach, Football Pathway

Plans the method for every squad, leads the Elite Pathway sessions and signs off each written review.

What to ask any academy to show you

  • Each coach's badge, and the body that issued it.
  • A current safeguarding check for every adult on the pitch.
  • A first-aid certificate for someone at every session.
  • How many players each coach works with at once.

Athletics coach

Runs the sprint, middle-distance and jump sessions on the track.

Goalkeeping coach

Runs the weekly goalkeeping session and joins squad training in match weeks.

Strength and conditioning coach

Plans strength work for players from 13, with injury prevention first.

Foundation coach

Leads every Foundation session for ages 6 to 9.

In their words.

Written for this concept. No real family was quoted.

“His shot count went from 12 to 47 a session once the coaches started tracking it on the whiteboard. He didn't improve because someone said well done. He improved because he could see the number go up.”

Fictional quote Parent of a Development player

“The assessment scored me lower on awareness of space than I expected. Three terms later the same two coaches scored me again, on video, next to the first one. That is the kind of proof I trust from a coach.”

Fictional quote Elite Pathway player, 17

“Every eight weeks I get a written review without having to ask for it. I can see what changed and what the coach wants next.”

Questions parents ask.

How does a trial session work?

Trials run on Saturday mornings at 9:00 and 11:00, by age band. A trial is one full session with the squad and coach your child would join, followed by a 10-minute talk with that coach. There is no separate selection day.

What age groups do you take?

Foundation from age 6, Development from 10, and the Elite Pathway from 16, by trial. Athletics is open to any enrolled player from age 8; the Goalkeeping Academy to Development and Elite Pathway players.

What kit does my child need?

Boots, shin guards and a water bottle. Training tops are on loan for the first term. No branded boots or kit are required.

What is the refund policy on term fees?

Example policy: a full refund if you cancel before the term's second session, 50% before the fourth, and none after that. Injuries are handled case by case with the head coach.

What should I ask about the coaches?

Ask to see each coach's badge and who issued it, a current safeguarding check and a first-aid certificate. This concept invents no coaches, so it shows none.

Trials run on Saturday mornings.

Bring boots, shin guards and a water bottle. The coach shows your child the rest.
